\"Mold<\/a>It\u2019s unfortunate that many people don\u2019t call for mold testing<\/a> or mold removal<\/a> until they already have a problem; Mainly because most people don\u2019t really know a lot about it.<\/p>\n

What is Mold?<\/h2>\n

Molds are fungi that are found both indoors and outdoors. They grow best in warm and moist environments and spread by making spores.<\/p>\n

Some of the more common types you will find include:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Aspergillus
\n\u2022 Alternaria
\n\u2022 Cladosporium
\n\u2022 Penicillium<\/p>\n

Why is Mold Dangerous?<\/h2>\n

Mold gets in the air and hurts the quality for everyone who has to breathe it.<\/p>\n

This can cause everything from:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Nasal stuffiness
\n\u2022 Eye irritation
\n\u2022 Wheezing or coughing
\n\u2022 Skin irritation<\/p>\n

The most common risk is damage to your lungs. People who have to live or work in a building with mold issues can suffer from chronic lung illnesses, obstructive lung disease, or mold infections in their lungs.<\/p>\n

What Do I Do If I Think My Building Has Mold?<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s extremely important that you have your building tested for mold as soon as you think you have a problem.<\/p>\n

If inspection reveals that you do have a problem, it\u2019s just as important that you look into mold removal as soon as possible. You can treat some of your symptoms, but your health issues will persist as long as there is mold in the air.<\/p>\n
